SE Michigan Industry Update Event

The MCC will host an update event for the chemical industry in SE Michigan, including manufacturers, consultants, and service providers.

Attendees will share industry updates and discuss the latest issues, including with policymakers and industry leaders. A special panel focused on talent development and DEI initiatives will include:

• MichiganWorks! Association CEO Ryan Hundt, who will share about how companies can receive support through GoingPro for training and talent development 
• BASF HR leader Gabe McDonald, who will share about the company's apprenticeship program
• Ann Arbor SPARK's Ben Ernst, who will share about opportunities for state-supported internships through STEM Forward
• American Chemistry Council's Collin Brecher, who will share about the industry-supported Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI) to support a diverse future workforce

Finally, Wacker will host an optional tour of their recently-opened innovation center and regional headquarters. This state-of-the-art center currently houses more than 200 team members, including the company's NCA senior leadership team; the region's leading chemists; IT and other technical experts, along with support functions.
