LANSING, MI, December 9, 2019 – The Michigan Chemistry Council (MCC) announced that its Board of Directors has elected a new President and Vice President to serve as leaders for the association for the two-year term of 2020-21.

Mark Kramer, President and CEO of Anderson Development Company, will serve as the MCC’s President and board chair. Mr. Kramer has been with the company for more than 20 years, and has taken a series of roles with increasing responsibilities, including plant and technical management, business management, sales and research. He now works to grow Anderson Development’s global business from its headquarters and manufacturing site in Adrian. Kramer also serves on the board of the American Chemistry Council, and has been very involved in increasing Anderson’s engagement and support in the local community, including STEM education.

Steve Gregory, Michigan Environmental Health Safety & Security leader for Corteva Agriscience, will serve as the MCC’s Vice President. Mr. Gregory is a mid-Michigan native, and has worked in a variety of business and manufacturing roles in Midland with Dow Chemical and now Corteva for close to 20 years. He is responsible for the implementation of work processes and systems to drive improvement in performance and regulatory compliance at Corteva’s Midland and Harbor Beach sites.

Transitioning to MCC Past-President will be Brooke Beebe, Vice President of External Affairs for Hemlock Semiconductor. Ms. Beebe has served on the MCC’s Board since 2015.

Mark Craig, Executive Vice President of the Three Rivers Corporation, will serve as the MCC’s Treasurer. Dirk Bloemendaal, Managing Counsel, Government Affairs for Amway, will continue to serve as MCC’s Secretary. A complete board roster can be found here.

The Michigan Chemistry Council, established in 1967, represents Michigan’s chemical manufacturers, formulators and distributors. Chemistry is one of Michigan’s largest manufacturing sector, supporting more than 90,000 Michigan jobs and directly impacting more than 96% of all manufactured goods.
